Took a ride out Lewis co way today and looks like this year is going to be a bumper crop of apples.  Trees all over were loaded.

Saw a nice buck by my buddy's house too.

I said the same thing yesterday to one of my friends.  Seems like every tree is loaded this year around me

Yea my trees here are so loaded the branches are gonna be on the ground soon. Unfortunately most of them are dropped and eaten before Sept ends.

Took a walk yesterday and noticed the crabapple and wild pear trees were loaded. Didn't see any acorns on the few oaks that I looked at though.

These past few month i've been seeing skunks all over the place here on Long Island.It was very rare to even hear of a skunk out this way let alone see one.

Along the edge of road was a bachelor group. A button, a spike and a six pt.  Tried to get a pic but only this guy hung around. Stood right there and gave me the staredown.

Lots of apples. Ohio deer are already eating fallen apples in a grove that I have a cell cam in. Significant volume of images repetitively. I hope the apples hang on into season this year. Not seeing a crazy amount of acorns. Might be time to find the ones that do, and get a set up to take advantage of in a few months.

Yes. It’s a milk snake but not quite as cool as this one my buddy ran into this one in northern Alabama on a hike today timber rattler.

Went out for some hiking/scouting/squirrel hunting this morning. Found some promising spots for bow season. Saw 4 deer.

I had shots at 3 squirrels and, had I used my shotgun like a normal person, I would be eating Brunswick stew right now. But I'm a dumbass who insists on trying to kill one with a handgun, so we are eating takeout instead.

Nothing wrong with a challenge,thats why we all hunt.grandfather used to always have his lever action marlin 22lr but always resorted to his 22 short pistol instead.

Ending the long holiday weekend with a bang.1 down so far,have seen more but no shot.doe and i had a stare down on my walk back

Been out checking spots on the farm.

No apples this year due to a late hard frost and snow.

Just bought a new ladderstand to go in here. Will call it the "Jungle Stand" It's the tail end of a large swamp, heading to and from bedding. I prefer to hunt from the ground, but too thick in here. Post season scouting showed this area was a major buck travel corridor. It won't get hunted until the timing is perfect.

One of the best stands on the farm. Almost guaranteed to see deer from this spot. In between a hemlock swamp, and a pine ridge. With plots in the middle.

Couple of my favorite ground blinds. This is how I most prefer to hunt! Eye to eye with the deer. And at times so close you could reach out and touch them.

During the craziness of life, the farm is my sanctuary. It keeps me grounded. Been roaming it's woods and fields since I was a young boy. And one day my ashes will be spread to the wind there.
