Robhuntandfish
30/30 my Dad agreed to pay half for when I was 16. Judge poly revolver - finally decided on one pistol Remington 870 slug gun that I got last year. Have wanted a Remington as my uncle worked there, I like a shotgun. My M&P 15 .22LR My Howa in 7mm-08 My Tri-Star Raptor in 12. I still also like making paper clip rubber band slingshots and pi$$ing people off. wolc123
1.) My grandad's Ithaca 37, 16 gauge with 1.5X Weaver scope (killed my first deer - a button buck of course, and my two largest-antlered bucks with this one). 2.) Ruger 77 with 3-9 Redfield scope (killed my first and largest Adirondack buck with this one, my only mule deer - won't make than mistake again - taste like crap, and made my only perfect shot on a deer with this gun) 3.) Barnett Recruit Cross-gun with Barnett "Red/Green dot" scope (killed what may have been my heaviest buck - largest measured chest girth anyhow, with this one) -These three gun/scope combo's have one thing in common. Every deer that I shot at with them has gone directly to "deer-heaven" (our family's food supply). There were a few misses in there (glad neither firearm is a single shot), and all but one of the shots was less than perfect however. Since Moog has set the precident, I will add a fourth that fits that above paragraph: Marlin 512 with 3X Bushnell Banner scope. This one works great on does and button bucks but I have yet to take an antlered buck with it, which keeps it out of the top 3. Pygmy
How awful to limit it to only 3...6 would be a more realistic number... HOWEVER, here are 3 that I use a lot and would never part with.. Ruger 10/22 bought around 1970...Walnut stock and a few thousand rounds through it and it still never misses a lick.. Ithaca SKB 20 gauge side by side bought around 1974...25 " barrels IC and MOD.. My go-to upland bird and bunny rabbit gun... Winchester M 59 12 gauge ( with fiberglass barrel) bought in 1965...Killed my first turkey, my first goose and countless other feathered flying things such as crows, pigeons, upland birds and waterfowl.. The model was only made from 1959-1963... Honorable mentions...My Win M70 laminate stock .280, which has killed game all over the continent, including whitetails, mulies, moose, caribou , pronghorns and assorted varmints... My current favorite whitetail rifle, a Rem 700 Mountain rifle in 7MM08.... My Rem 11-87 SP which has accounted for lots of turkeys, ducks and geese... And others....<<sigh>>….
Nomad
Ya know I don’t think I,own any favorite guns . To me they are tools. I sold all the guns I got from my Dad and Grandfather, I never shot them and they took up room in the safe ,so,after 20 some years off they went . I do love my SW 586 .357 I just shoot that gun very well. My Glock 19 same thing, and with 15 plus 1 , that’s a lot of rounds . Ok my Davis .22 Derringer, got $50 from my Grandma for my birthday 30 some years ago, and bought it for $47 . Not good for much, but it goes bang each trigger pull, and it’s a fun little gun . Of course my Henry Golden Boy Firefighters Tribute edition .

eagle rider
Ducks and Geese: Fabarms XLR5 Waterfowler, Benelli Vinci, SKB 1300 Deer: Browning BAR Mk I 30-06, RHR 700 30-06, Weatherby S1 SubMOA Vanny 270 WSM I will say that I'd like to maybe put another RHR 700 into the family soon. Or a Mk V Ultra Lightweight. If I can find another SubMOA S1 Vanny that might be the ticket as well. Hunter007
To be honest i could get away with just using my 11/87 for everthing . For a number of reasons 1 closest zone i hunt is shotgun only 2 because it is shotgun only a lot of guys avoid it and go elsewhere less hunters to deal with ,3 makes it easier to switch from hunting from big game in early morning to small game midday and back if i want to . airedale
I have more than three that I like a lot but the ones I listed are the go-to firearms that I have used most times when I am hunting. 1. A 20 ga SKB double that I have used for much of my small game hunting especially birds and rabbits. 2. A Husqvarna light sporter in 280 Remington used for much of my big game hunting, fast handling and nice to carry. 3. Ruger model 77 Varmint in 220 Swift used for much of my Varmint hunting (chucks and crows), very accurate. 4. Honorable mention, Remington 541S in 22 LR, too many Squirrels to count fell to this one, very accurate.
