At 4:58 I texted Mama crappy that I can come home if she needs me - one kid with strep and shared with his brother.
At 5:32 I text I just shot two doe and have a good buck at my tree that I don’t plan on shooting...I already lowered my bow

1 is home (dead within 5 minutes 10 yards from my ladder)

and 1 needs more time...shot high again. I wasn’t sure if I was going to take two - she was milling around just too long but became a bit leery. I know I was high but she also flinched. Good sign through nasty crap again and came upon her. Backed out to give her time. I hate bad results but confident I will collect her in a few hours.

Going to the same spot I was at opening weekend on sunday morning.   I have about the same wind and conditions.  Hoping that big 5 or a doe comes through.  I'll be in a tree this time only issue with this spot is it's right off the road maybe 100 yards and once they are through I dont expect much movement after 830.

I have a spot that I dont really hit until the rut is kicking in, so ususlly not until Oct 31 and then I usually have the first week of Nov off work....so today I'm sitting this stand for the morning then going to juice up my mock scrape dripper, check trail cams back here, and get out of the area. After that, won't be back here until 10/31. Good luck all

Good luck to everyone that's out. I'm in a double ladder with my 11yr old son Hunter. His first sit this year. Its hard to get him out since he plays ice hockey.

We checked the sd card on the way in there were a bunch of doe at this stand from 3pm to 10 PM yesterday then an 8pt in the plot for over 4hrs last night.
