XGX7PM
Congrats to all who've harvested already, good luck to those who haven't. We've been in since right around 6. Seen a black squirrel, chickadees and a hawk... No deer yet, haven't even heard any crows squawking. Time for lunch, we're breaking out the cider and sandwiches. Swamp_bucks
Well that was a quick gun tag. My little honey hole on Stateland. He's my 3rd 8 in 4 years out of this spot. Still can't believe I shot him. I thought I missed because I had a small paper plate hole to shoot through. He didn't make it 25 yards quartering way 80yrds. Biggest buck buy far. Very lucky to have the friends. 5 stopped their hunts to show up and help. Some I've know for 25yrs and a new one I've got to know the last couple weeks @REDNECK4LIFE32. My nephew showed up as well. My favorite picture is of my friends all around in the truck picture and them helping getting him strapped to the cart. Really couldn't do it without them. Thing was a mile deep and everyone helped drag. Waiting for a phone call from others to go help drag. Hock3y24
Well their was a little bit of ground shrinkage, none the less you can’t take bullets back! I’m happy with him. Down to doe tags only for me. Donating one deer to a family, other to dad. Getting my nephew and step son on a deer is priority 1 rest of the season. Rut still on, he was grunting like crazy chasing them.

CapDistPatriot
Taking a break before afternoon sit. Signififewer gunshots this morning than normal, and most were after 8am. I saw 5 deer, zero clean shot opportunities. First was probably the biggest doe I have ever seen in my life, but she had a small doe and a yearling in front of her so I had no shot. Other two was a good sized buck chasing another monster doe, but they were in the timber moving so again, no shot. Afternoon HAS to be better, right? rob-c
So I’ve been playing chess with this wide buck most of archery and I had him at 10 yards this morning ( didn’t know it was him till I pulled SD cards on walk out , notice the date on the top photo and the time is actually 6:21 there’s a photo of me walking in at 5:30 ) It was just too dark to get a shot I could barley make him out , but knew it was a buck as he had his nose to the ground following my foot steps to my tree stand . I’ve been applying Evercalm to the bottom of my boots and this stuff is great. My wife saw a big doe and my son missed a big doe with his 357 mag SBH . And the chess game continues . Congrats to all that has shot a deer .

SpacemanSpiff
Well punched my buck tag this morning right at sunrise. He has shown up on camera multiple times on the farm but never where i was today go figure. Feels great to fill both of my buck tags this year. Shot him with my Remington 700 bdl chambered in .222 Remington. He went a few feet and fell over. That little Federal 50 grain soft point turned his lungs to raspberry jello. Even got the wife in for a picture. She saw three doe but were in the thicket where i killed the buck, no shot. chrisw
I sat until 10 and saw nothing, not much shooting. I get halfway down my tree and a deer blows right under me and takes off. 2 does snuck in the back through the short pines and must've watched me climb halfway down before they blew... Just my luck... Saw a coyote blast through on my walk out. Off to another spot to sit til dark. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
