Swamp_bucks
Up and getting ready for my last rifle hunt of the year in NY. I'm sitting first thing then since we got a couple inches of fresh snow last night I'll go for a walk hoping to catch fresh tracks. I'll be back out again come ml and once more in pa but my season is coming to a close quickly with only 3 or 4 more days left for me to hunt.

mowin
Waiting for new member Thyme. He's driving up to northern Columbia county to meet me at the farm. Hopefully I can put him on a deer or two. I've got a difficult to get 4U DMP to sign over to him, so hopefully he'll get his first deer today. Been sending him pics of 6-8 does every afternoon in the food plot. Hopefully the wind will be good to hunt that stand. Success pics hopefully to follow.

BowmanMike
I have been sick for a couple of days, nausea and slight headache. I am getting a rona test today but after that I will go out in the three inches of fresh snow and get me a deer. I am a little afraid of the drag if I should get lucky, but I will manage if I have to. Fresh snow is all the motivation I need,no sitting for me,I will go find one. That is my favorite way to hunt anyway.

ApexerER
15 hours ago, bhunterED said: Decided to take my last half day of vacation today with the snow sticking and more coming. Got to my stand and the neighbors where making all kinds of noise behind me so I decided to move and go to a ground blind I had set up and not sat in yet on the edge of some thick pines and the hardwoods. With about 15 minutes of legal light I hear a stick snap and look and see a deer working through the pines. I put the binoculars up and as soon as I could see it was a buck I reached for the gun and he vanishes. I'm searching hard to find him and figure he's gone when up to my right I hear something and there he is 75 yards away and looking away from me. I got the crosshairs on him took a breath and squeezed the trigger. The deer bolts and now I'm thinking how did I miss there's no f'ing way I missed. I get out of the blind to go look and there's blood then more blood then alot of blood and there he was 30 yes away. The shot took the bottom of his heart and and one lung. I'm glad I stuck it out like everyone has said it can all change in an instant. Beautiful Buck, way to stick it out! Congrats!!!

Fletch
After a bunch of morning zeros I decided today to go in to work early and hunt the late shift. another 3-4 inches of snow came down overnight so hopefully some of that falls off the branches by then. johnplav
Calm morning until 4 deer came running through… of course the only one who stopped and hung out for 30 min was the tiny button buck. He got a pass, and the chess match with his mother continues.
