Gas Prices are much lower in other states. Why?

NY adds .45 to a gallon in state tax and the federal govt adds another .19 per gallon.  We pay .64 per gallon in taxes.  That's more than $12 to put 20 gallons in your tank.

The govt is making more money per gallon than the oil companies do.

And that doesn't include sales tax!
