Mid day Friday Mrs Nomad meets some friends for lunch , afterwards they head to a B&B in Ithaca for a week end of shopping, eating ,drinking and hiking !

So I have the house to myself ! I can play the Allman Brothers at a proper level , nobody to question everything I do ,or don’t do ,The TV won’t have Nash Bridges on all day .....

Going to tell my Guatemalan wife it’s the special day in the US when wives do WHATEVER a husband asks of them which is immediately followed by a week long hunting trip out of state.   Must be celebrat

Why did I know that this meant you would not be spending time with your wife.  You guys are tough on your significant others.  I must confess, mine is a blessing.  I had reservations for tomorrow and she told me to cancel as she was fine hanging home with the kids.  I will skip Friday night hunts though.

31 years of wedded bliss ,  not one major fight . 

When I worked my FF schedule and she days , we’d see each other at night 3/4 of the nights and ,every other weekend , go three complete days without seeing each at all other out of every 12 .

Now both home all the time ,it’s a bit of an adjustment.  So this weekend I get one three day block to myself , something I had three times a month for close to thirty years .

Phade , I got my kids on and off the bus most days , and was with them 3/4 of the days during the summer and holidays , rarely needed a sitter .

I'll be playing hockey Friday night as our Sunday night league got rescheduled due to a hockey tournament! I was wondering how this would play out with the wifey, but yesterday she says to me "what time is your game on Friday"!  I think she will go to the casino and we'll get together after hockey? Just another Friday night in my book, I hate these Hallmark imposed regulations!

Crank up some 'Blue Sky' and 'Liz Reed' and have a nice cold beverage of your choosing! We all need "me" time, every now and then.

I think tomorrow night, Mrs grampy and I are going grocery shopping after work. Then at 8, we have a dinner reservation at Canalie's in Rotterdam. I got her a nice card and will have some flowers delivered. She is my best friend. Not a day goes by that we don't laugh. I'd be lost without her. I make every day count. As some day it will only be one of us.

flowers are for dating. now married i know the way to my daughters and wife's hearts. Friday I'm staying in and coming home with a basket of dozens of assorted fruit dipped in generations old recipe chocolate. She knows/expects it's coming. doesn't matter. lol
