Robhuntandfish
Always interesting to see what guys show up with on opening day. I'm taking my old Winchester model 94 30-30 that my Dad said if I got half he'd get the other half, 30 years ago this year. So definitely have to take that out for the opener.
Steuben Jerry
My Remmy 700 Buckmasters edition in .270. Later in the season, a .243 Savage that I've had for a few years but never hunted with.

growalot
My 20 ga. Browning open sights...she's gotten me a lot of deer. In hill country with both open and thick woods and ppl all around me, closer shots feel safer to me than the 243. To easy to get a sky line with longer shots here.

turkeyfeathers
Winchester Apex Magnum ML topped with Bushnell Elite 3200 3x9 Just cleaned and stuffed the ML. And Super Blackhawk .44 in chest rig with iron sights. Daughter will be toting Remington youth 20 gauge with Bushnell glow circle T optics to the why ? Love the feel of my ML. Slug gun just doesn’t feel natural in my hands. I only hope to shoot once. If it’s up close and personal I’ll shoot the .44 for my 2nd deer with it. Hmm, a side piece could keep me warm (and occupied) in Saturday's weather. Too bad I don't have one lined up!

Five Seasons
If I make it to 7J, which is unlikely because it's kind of a hard hunt and i'm a pu$$y, it'll be my browning gold edition 12 gauge. If i sit a few hours in 8F until i get cold, wet or over it, it's the ruger american 30-06. I love both
mlammerhirt
Me....30-30 Marlin with 3x9x40 Cabela's scope, with mountain Mike scope caps. Bought this gun off a neighbor when I turned 30(but never hunted with it), just thought it would be a cool gun to own. My wife took her first deer with it at 70 yards in 2012! And i am looking to put another notch in the stock.Dad......270 Browning x-bolt topped with a redfield 3x9x40 scope. My buddy with have his 243 Remmy. The one thing I love about about opening day and hunting with these two guys if you are sitting there all warm and quiet and you hear one of the other rifles bark in the hardwoods we hunt.......you know a phone call and dead deer are to follow. And with the weather predicted I pray a few deer hit the floor pretty quick!Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Core
CVA Wolf SS w/ Nikon 3-9X Have yet to ever take a deer during regular or late season. Should have that rectified by mid next week at the latest.
