In since 630. Had a nice 8 at first legal. Had no shot (gave him a pass lol) 30 min later see a nicer 8 a bit further away. No shot (he got a pass too lol)
15 min ago had a staring contest with a squirrel at 12 inches. Thought he was gonna climb in my lap.

Had a spike come behind me, wheeze 3 times and walked the other way. Did he see or smell me? If he saw me I'm assuming he would have taken off running?

Spikes are stupid, I’ve had them see me and come closer.

Breaking out the new bangers today! They are the largest sheds I have at around 155” with a high teens spread. It felt a little wrong sawing off a 6”+ and a 8”+ brow tine but man do they sound amazing. Rattled in a 120ish two year old on the first set

So strange. Area just dead. I’m seeing less deer as season goes on and I know it isn’t pressured. More squirrels today than ever.

Not bragging, but I'm up to 2 squirrels here in 8J!! No deer moving at all...

Saw two young bucks this morning in 3J. Then I saw a monster 10-pointer following a doe around. I tried to call him, and he would turn and look at me, but then go back to following the doe.
