Morning was a complete bust. Nothing seen. I don’t have high hopes for this evening either but no point staying in the clubhouse. Sitting in a different spot in a big section of oaks hoping they are hungry this evening.

Found this lady dead on one of the properties I hunt.  Not a shot that should have been taken in my opinion!  She has been there a day or to too.

Tucked in with my boys in 9h.....sitting a couple hundred yards off the edge of a cut corn field between bedding and food. The squirrel count has been pretty good so far keeping us entertained. They have also pounded oreos, and goldfish for the past 2o minutes!

No arrows released yet. I did get to cape out the first mounter of the 2020 season this morning...a friend's buck that dressed out at 220!

I went out to some state land this afternoon. I had a spot in mind but scouted some on my way in. The best sign was where i wanted to go from the start,a nice mix of oaks and good cover adjacent to a field. I found lots of fresh droppings but also spooked a doe and fawn. I was on the trail,so hopefully that was not a big deal. I climbed into one of the biggest oaks,probably 3' diameter at the base. It is the best tree,right on the edge of cover. Acorns have been raining down,now come on deer. I am loving my saddle setup so far.

Watched a doe give off her two young ones around 4:45 hoping this last hours productive

Well if nothing else happens tonight at least I’m getting good practice at not getting busted while getting into shooting position. 3 times now I’ve gotten ready unnoticed only to have the doe turn the wrong way

Son had a doubleheader today and we ran out back behind the house to hunt. Saw a bunch of doe and had a small 8pt come by just outta range.

Flock of 30 turkey dropped by and roosted  100 yards away, that was it.  Temp is dropping!

The deer were moving this evening. 12 does/fawns and 2 spikes. Also had a flock of turkeys feed by

Going out tomorrow for the first sit of the year for me. Only hunting half the day, and im mostly going just to post my land to stop a guy from trespassing. Ill probably pass everything except a big buck
