Good morning CB. Hiking with weapons on a beautiful fall day.  Going to be a good one hopefully we see some deer pics today.  Good hunting.

Walked out the door today and man the coyotes were fired up!! There had to be dozen in a 800 yard stretch of woods, non-stop barking, yipping and howling! I almost didn’t go to my stand, as I needed to walk through the middle of them. Never heard them so vocal before!! Could be why the deer aren’t here…

Just turned legal at 7:26 here on the SE corner of wmu 9F.  It is bright enough, at the edge of a clearing in the woods, that I can see the crosshairs on the scope on my CP sniper.  I am in the upper deck of my most comfortable stand over here. 
First hunt of the sz archery season.

Had a flying squirrel right off the deck of the cabin when I turned on the light then a single fawn when I pulled into the spot I parked good omens I hope. Beautiful morning

Big bodied big 6 zig zagging nose to the ground in the cow pasture. Grunts ain’t moving him. He was 75 yards.

Been in since before daylight. 28 degrees crunchy nothing moving yet. Had a doe and little one cross Rd in front of me.

Up in our double ladder with my son in 8j toting the xbow for him and I have my regular bow.  Haven't seen a thing except a hundred squirrels or so. It's kind of nice to hear the leaves crunch for once after a month of rain and wet leaves.

I sat this stand last night and saw two doe separately and a trophy spike horn that weighed less than the doe I saw.

So thick in here. Can’t see but 30 yds. I keep hearing leaves fall and my mind instantly thinks footsteps. Turn and look…nothing. Had a doe at 25 but no lane. May have to move this stand. I will scout around a little more when I get down.

How bad would it be to get down and go to my other stand about 1/4 mi away? Wind shifted from NE to SW. less than ideal for here.

On the move today. I saw 20 bucks on my way home from spikes to a couple big 8s.  All the big ones were with does. Last night I saw a bunch also and the bigger ones all had does with them.
