  1. BMM, Come on Man ! Solar has been around for decades and so has wind power. The power supply from both of those systems to power the US isn't there and never will be. We'd have to cover the planet with solar panels and that would only supply 1/2 of the energy we need. If you don't know it already, that energy needs to be stored somewhere and that somewhere is a bank of batteries. The energy storage is the weak link in the solar/wind power system. Batteries don't last long and need to be replaced and recycled. Over in Europe, their dealing with a serious crisis on what to do with electric vehicle battery disposal or recycling. Imagine that crisis on a 10 times bigger scale over here ? America has been leading the rest of the world for too long and all we have to show for it, is higher taxes and more jobs going overseas, where they use slave labor and no pollution controls. Name one other country that tax's it's citizens and sends those tax dollars to America ? If America kept 10% of what we send to other countries, we'd have the money to pay off our debt. If we saved 20%, we'd pay off our debt and have a kick ass health care system. The American taxpayer is going to get it in the ass again with Biden's Green deal, which isn't a deal at all, unless you call getting screwed in the ass a deal.

  8. Noticed something a bit "odd" in the snowbank along the road and had to go back for a double take! LOL What's the chances that a pair of coyotes would be hit? Those legs sticking straight up in the air are just too funny!

  9. When the boys were little, we would always take them to Santa's Workshop just outside Lake Placid. Also, just walking through town and enjoying the shops and eateries was always fun. But not sure how all that is now, due to Covid-19 restrictions. Pretty sure there will be some ice fishers out on the lake. You could always walk out to see what they are catching? I had an aunt who lived up there, and always enjoyed visiting the area.

  10. We also don't know the history, if any. This could have been a long brewing feud that escalated to this. The MSM certainly will not go into depth as it serves their gun control agenda to make this look like nothing more than a murder over snow.

  11. DeBlasio is the worst failure of all. With SARS and H1N1 barely behind us they didnt have the PPE, respirators, ventilators etc stockpiled on an island of 9 million? He should be run out of office.

  19. Full video is out there I watched it . Mom is a POS , kid ran because she thought mom stabbed dad,as they were fighting , Mom has a long criminal record , the kid is doomed really . In the video Mom is saying she’ll take the kid home and beat the sh!t out of her . Mom is also trying to fight passerby and telling them to suck her Richard . This is a typical call in the city , screaming ,yelling fighting, lies ,nobody obeying . Anyways kid was handcuffed and placed in car at the Moms request . I have no issue with that . As far as pepper spraying her , that was a bit to much imho .

  20. Some of my favorite spots are pastures.. I have stalked a few deer under cover of cows..lol.. One of the places I hunted had around 100 beefers running around. They didn't have much human contact and were pretty wild.. They bust you as quick as a deer. Once they started staring at you, you might as well move on..

  23. Before we can even think about electric cars for the whole nation (again I am against this dirty “clean” energy) we would have to have trillions dumped into the power grid infrastructure across the whole nation which would cause much more environmental damage than the keystone xl pipeline. You can not have house grade solar systems charging cars in any reasonable time. I honestly believe solar is a waste of time, money and resources we should give more money to dme fuel r and d.

  25. Tubing ! I used to take our kids when they were little to a small ski area an hour away that had tubing slopes. We had a blast doing that ! A two year old is small . She would have to ride with you . Or in some places maybe not be allowed . But most ski areas that have tubing runs have some kiddie tube slopes for the whole family. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/adirondacks/2015/11/adirondacks_snow_tube_tubing_venues_winter.html

  28. Actually, thousands and thousands of Americans move when they retire to countries where their dollar goes much further, healthcare is a fraction of what it is in the US, real estate is cheap, and the quality of life is excellent. https://internationalliving.com/the-best-places-to-retire/ Top ten: 10.Vietnam 9. 29. Reading through the above posts, I can not find much to disagree with...NY was a test dummy, Cuomo's handing of it had some good / some bad, and the guy won't own his mistakes. He is constantly touting how he relies on the "science" to inform decision-making, but SOME of what he's done is in no way based on science. In fact, I would argue that the vaccine roll-out in particular has been mismanaged horribly. Not defining what immunocompromised means has led most doctors to throw their hands up in the air in frustration, rather than risk being fined and losing their license from poking the wrong person. My best buddy is a 53 year old heart transplant patient (3 yrs ago). There is no guidance on when he might be eligible. That stinks. We can't lay full blame at his feet, but the man is in denial if he thinks he's a hero.

  30. Looks like a Holstein, which is a Milk cow. If she's been milking, she's going to be tuff. Slaughtered many milk cows over the yrs for various reasons. Some are split hips, some open, and won't produce. Tenderloins are the only thing chewable, and that's if she's young. Otherwise, lots of burger...

  33. Yep - they are a very old company (by solar terms). Well established profitability already, with increases in gross and net revenue YOY past three years (I didn't go further back). Market is hot, and they're growing in a market that is growing. I'll ride that one for a while.

  36. Yep ! A few years ago youngest hits an ice spot on 104 ends up in a snow bank . She calls me and says some guy in a beat up truck will pull her out , I say NO , You can’t tow a car out backwards across an expressway , without shutting things down for a bit . I get there and a Trooper who the day before I worked a flipped Jeep on 490 was there , he sent the hillbilly on his way and had a wrecker in route . That’s a pretty good hit to set off that airbag , I’ve been to idk a thousand of accidents and would sometimes be amazed at the damage and they didn’t go,off . My daughter last year , chain reaction ,8k in damage to her car , air bag never went off . That gal is looking at an airbag at plus or minus a grand , front sensor , and whatever other damage ATV guy did , at the least ..

  38. I'm in Rochester. Based on a lot of prior events (including the handling of the Prude incident), we now have a team of Mental Health Professionals who should be deployed rather than the police for mental health calls. They weren't in this case because the initial call that came in to dispatch was about a stolen car.

  40. I ended up buying new after seeing the prices used machines in great shape were commanding and the peed they were getting sucked up at! I missed a couple beauties that were only listed on Facebook Marketplace for a short time before they were sold, later the SAME day they were listed buy the fellow that bought them for a healthy profit. So while scoping out the used rides I also looked at the new stuff at dealers; those poor guys can't even get the machines in stock due to Covid 19 delaying manufacturers production, then when they get them they are purchased quickly with almost no discounts or haggling. I was willing to travel 4+ hours to find what I wanted (2021 Rancher, manual shift & green) and thought I found one in Loweville, NY but it was sold. I asked the gal on the phone what they had coming from Honda in the pipeline and she said they were expecting a few more in July! So I found a red one in Jamestown, NY (Hector's Powersports) and ended up making a deal for that one, I dealt with Joe there and he was good to work with. We took a ride down last Saturday I picked it up. Did a little riding last Sunday locally and then yesterday down in Canadice. I swapped camera cards and rode a bit, I always enjoyed bombing through light powdery snow.......

  42. I shot my new 9mm this weekend and it was painful thinking each squeeze could cost me $.70+ cents to replace lol!! I have enough to protect myself but not a bunch extra so I can practice shoot as much as I want. I got a feeling by summer this should settle down. Remington kicking back in won't hurt either. The stores around here are getting shipments every week, just limited and folks are hoarding as well as other reselling to make $$. It is what it is. At some point it will switch as there is not anywhere near the ammo being manufactured each day being shot. So sooner or later folks will feel they have enough.

  43. I am Fully aware of the differences between this vaccine and most others. How many commercials do you see for lawsuits regarding drugs, treatments, chemicals, etc that we were all told for years were perfectly safe, only to find out years later that they cause cancer, and many other things. You’re telling me that a brand new type of vaccine, which works differently than any vaccine that has ever been used, and was developed and studied for less than 8 months is safe? I just Don’t buy it. Again, if you want to take it, knock yourself out. I’ll hold off and see how things go with those that do take it. If I cant fly or whatever for a while, so be it.
