Have your opening day spot picked out?

Have you got your opening day / weekend spot picked out? 

I have 4 hotspots and havent decided which i will  choose all have had 4 to 5 k photos in last 5 days..  ill let the guys pick their spots 1st at camp and take whats left.. problem is i have 4 weeks off to hunt and dont want to tag out before vacation starts  oct 22nd.   But have to be out there in case the big one walks by..  2nd weekend  my friends son asked if id take him out for youth hunt so that weekend will be easy to get thru...lol

Gonna sneak into some apple trees just inside the woods beside a bean field that has buck bed/sign in the area... this is for Tuesday and with a SW wind and light rain I am confident I can sneak in there and hopefully see something... if its brown its down!

Yep small ladder along a bean field it’s near the corner where the woods and thicket meet,it’s where I get good pics ( no cameras currently out ) and I’ve taken three nice ten points from it .

Last camera pull  showed late afternoon movement , so even though I don’t like bow hunting afternoons all that much ,I’ll be there Oct. 1 hoping to catch one before the bucks disperse .

All depends on the wind. I'm chosing to be super aggressive for the first 3 weeks of season. I will be the guy who stinks up as much public as possible around me. Crosswind on buck bedding exits and ridges headed down to ag. When we get cold fronts I'll shift to spots where I think certain buck may be on my leases.

I do but I’m keeping my eye on that hurricane hitting Florida on Wednesday. Depending how it tracks, what’s left of it might be here by the weekend. Hoping it heads out to sea.

Ladder Stand been in place for 8-9 years ... produces every year Bow - Crossbow - Gun !

Mine is pending wind direction as always. To start the season will be on the fringe of our hunting spot looking for a freezer queen. Most of the bucks historically don't show until later in October there. Hunting buddy has first pick of the 10 stands, so hope he gets an early one.

This year will be fun. I have the pick of the litter! lol living up at camp full time gives me that option of spots. Not sure what stand but it wont be opening day. I'll be at West Point to see my daughter and the game.

I see alot of empty acorn caps in the woods, thinking quick sit in the morning on travel route back from plot, then switching to hard woods for a mid day sit.  Wind doesn't look good for the evening sit.

No idea, my normal spot has been blown up by some recent work we did so I don't think I want to sit there. I'll just wing it, seems like that is going to be a theme for me this year.

No bow hunting for me, until crossbow opens for the peak 2 weeks of the rut in November.  I might get out next Sunday afternoon at my parents with my .22 for squirrels.  I saw a bunch of them over there today, while I was out putting up posted signs.

Rare is the Opening Day of archery that I've hunted.  I do have an idea where I'll hunt for my first outing, depending on wind directions of course.   Not sure when I'll get out for the first hunt but am looking forward to it.

Some left shoulder issues have me on edge a bit too, a torn labrum and severe tendinopathy in my long head bicep tendon make shooting quite difficult.  I'm two weeks into some PT and things seem slightly better.

I will be 20 yards to the right of where this deer is standing in this pic. Probably do a dark to dark 10/1 as he used this route both coming and going. I will have to get in very very early

Same stand I've killed 3 opening day doe from except this year I can walk there from my house!!! What are the chances of buying a house with a trail leading directly to your most productive stand? Feeling pretty blessed this year

I'll be PM only as I coach the 9:30 and son plays a 1:30 football game. Will be looking for a mama deer that lives super close to the parking area where I hunt a management property. My chance at her drops dramatically as hunters push in

I have an idea of 2 spots on where I’ll hunt in NY. But not sure if it will be 10/1, 10/2, or early next week. Depends on weather and other variables. I’ll be hunting CT Friday 9/30 first.
