Shot him 1 second after this was taken. Followed blood but was hard in the dark and didn't want to bump him. Long, loud grunt at him. He was at least 150yds away pestering a doe, he trotted right to my stand. Heading back at sun up. a662f8dd660b0a06e5aa027d0443f37a.jpg

The odds are in his favor. He will go dark to dark every single day until he gets one or really bad weather and the weather looks good for many days to come. He just found out he has hernia today, but will get the surgery after the season

Stopped at a golf course parking lot having a smoke, I hear some blowing about a hundred yards away.

Heading out soon.  Going biz style from the ground in a little orchard.  Ive caught alot of bucks over the years in it.  Just up close and personal farthest shot will be 20 yards.

Heading out with a buddy I’m a short bit. Attempting to get him his first archery deer. I’m taking the backseat. Wind is light and variable up here in 4L. We’re hoping for one from the ground.

Good luck, all!

I’m up and at ‘em. Just took the dog out and got snorted at. Walking out back in an hour. 37 degrees, zero wind, and quiet. I don’t think I’ll be too stealthy getting in on the crunchy leaves so I may as well just march on back and worry about being quiet when I get to the stand. Good luck everyone!
