Gah about 3 min after my last post I had a Yelp and cluck real close. Got ready and a hen walks 5 yards in front of the blind. Goes over to one of my hen decoys and noses around a little before silently walking off. No dudes trailing her. Wild.

Never heard or saw a thing. Came in for some hot coffee, then probably go sit along the winter wheat field late morning.

Kicked up a hen on way out. Almost stepped on her.

Way underdressed. Wind sucked. 1 coon, 2 turkeys and 2 fox seen. Not bad for 740am

I had a bearded hen and a stubby jake stroll by within 5 feet of my blind. Waiting for Mr Tom to make his entrance.

Had a hen intercept a gobbler off roost and passed an iffy shot on one walking by with 5 hens. Cold, windy and a dusting of snow. No gobbling since early.

It doesn’t look like your call is broken. All you need to do is turn the striker upside down and put the wire back in it’s original position ( upper corner). Then put the striker right side up.
