What will you shoot first i am a meat hunter first I won’t pass a nice doe waiting on a good buck

Meat. I have one spot that is loved by big bucks during certain prime weeks that will be hunted by my partner or myself (it’s small so one hunter only).
Meat is my main goal...

I'm shooting the first deer I see this year.I want to hunt other animals this year.

Meat .  Always want that early doe then look for a decent buck.  A good doe is not a given for me where i hunt so I take the first good one that steps out. But always of course hunt looking for the good buck everytime or if any oppurtunity arises.

Meat. I'd shot a big doe on opening day but with 78 degrees expected I guess I'm hoping a wall hanger shows up or I'm not shooting

Usually meat, but this year I'm going to hold out for this guy for awhile. 

Not big, but I love the crazy rack.

If he doesn't show in a cpl weeks, I'll go back to meat.

Second archery season for me. Passed on 12 small bucks all inside 20 yards last year.  Drew on only doe I had legit shot at and she busted me drawing. First decent buck or doe I have a good shot at will hopefully get deflated.

Meat.seems i never get a shot at a doe,always bucks(not a bad problem).would like to fill the freezer this year as top priority

Generally meat...but this year and hopefully for many to come a friend has blessed with some prime land and tons of bucks and quite a few 100"+  on cam, rubs and scrapes. So this year i will wait for a buck. Its gonna be new and hard for me to watch deer all day waiting. But im doing it unless a 200# doe comes by.    I add ive never shot a bow buck, only a bunch if doe. And this year if its not mountable im not shooting i promised myself n friend.

Usually meat...but....

If I have an empty freezer, I hope for a nice doe with muzzleloading season (NT). Once I have meat in the freezer, I am happy to hunt the rest of the season just to be out in the woods...BUT if a nice buck comes along, so much the better. That just kind of gives me a reason to go out. 

This year though, I have quite a bit of venison from two big deer in the freezer yet, along with about half a moose. I have to do a meat inventory soon. I may choose not to shoot one if it isn't exceptional...be it buck or doe, and likely not until late season. My scheduled time off I can use stretching my cycling season, fishing or small gaming in the S tier.

Shooting a doe on the 1st,then i will be more picky and wait for a decent buck. 2.5 year old or better is what i am hoping for.

Meat.  Hoping for a doe and hoping to hold off for a 6pt or better.  But with no deer last year ill make the decision when one shows up.

She doesn't eat meat but she sure likes the bone? Lol

Depends on where I'm hunting and the mood I'm in. If a bog doe presents me with a shot I'm taking it unless it's the rut and the chase is on.

The past few years I've passed on plenty of bucks and the one year ended up shooting a small 5 pt with the bow because there was only 2 days left in the season and I was on a property that's over run with deer.

It has crossed my mind until she gets scent of me a lights up my woods with 20 snorts that alarm every deer in the county! lol These old girls are smart.

This year Im shooting the first doe that steps into a lane. After that, its all about a mature buck. 4 year olds or better at my place. Over at the farm, its any doe that gets into range, bucks later, and only a 3 year old or older.
