So after losing one of my 2 hunting properties this year, I started flipping though some pics of the bucks at my place the last few years.  I think I will be just fine.  Need to hunt a bit smarter but the big boys will be there.

I think you will be fine..  a lot of people hunt their entire life and never see one buck like those!!

Yep.  Hence the hunt smarter comment.  Probably can’t do all the invites either like in years past.  But I still feel good about it.

Though the Mendon property was certainly magical, and many great memories were made there ( I have some myself). Your Cal property is pretty sweet too, with lots of promise, and new memories to be made! And being it is yours, you have a lifetime to make them! The is where Natalie will shoot her first deer, and where you will likely shoot your last. Lots of great stuff will be in between those milestones!!! Wishing you the very best my friend! forget genetics. i've never seen a middle aged or mature buck that makes a hunter unhappy. it's good to have those selective neighbors around! lol
