I haven’t heard a shot since about 8:15. Nearest shot sounded like it was 1 1/2 miles or so away.

On the bright side, I saw a deer this morning anyways! That’s one more than I saw all last gun season combined!!

My little friend forkie just got his second pass of the year.  He is safe until after thanksgiving weekend.   I first saw him two weeks ago on opening day of crossbow.

Yeah.   I'm pretty convinced the 8 I got this morning is the same buck.  So, I'm a bullsh#$ artist is what I'm saying.  Just finished hiking a hanger stand deep down my hillside property and hanging it.  Going to take tomorrow to butcher him up, and see where the rest of the week takes me.

Slow day for me. Congratulations to all of you who got a deer today. Few minutes left so maybe something still will happen.

Sat with my brother for afternoon hunt and he harvested!  Two bucks from the same stand!

Posting better late in the day than never.
This guy closed the distance across a cut bean field from 300 yards to 75....my son whispered "take him" and the rest is history. Same blind we shot our opening day turkey from. He is pumped the he a day will be on his wall and hopefully he is hooked for life.

Sat today out for numerous reasons but my real opener is the northern zone. I'll be out all day tomorrow. 

Big congratulations to everyone who had one or in some cases numerous harvests. Really nice to see lots of kids involved in these hunts.

Sllloooowwww day in 7M. Least amount of hunters I've ever seen, least amount of shooting. Heard 2 shots from 12-4:45pm. The deer are there but with noone to make them move, they don't. Going to the lease tomorrow, even though that's been dead too. The neighbors killed 2 great bucks today, seems all of the bucks I was seeing are over there for whatever reason.

1 lone doe at 415 around 65yrds,no shot.5 out in field eating when I walked out.looks like I should of setup behind the shooting backstop n waited for em to come out!!!!!o well....neighbor across rd dropped 2 doe and his dad got a small 8 this afternoon
